Haiku from Mom and Dad
On Tokyo streets
People walking everywhere
Mom feels like giant
Through Shinjuku
People move
Like river currents
Sushi bento
Haagen Dazs at end
Tummy smiles
Sashimi, Higa beef
Miso, conch
Alas, no PBJ
Trains packed like sardine cans
Everyone wears a dark suit
But the two in Keens
Futons on floor
Sleeping warm
Backs will not unfold
Philosopher's walk
Blossoms fall like snow
Thoughts of loved ones
